Kuwait announced a new regulation on type-approval of telecommunications equipment

Kuwait announced a new regulation on type-approval of telecommunications equipment
December 12, 2021

The Communication and Information Technology Regulatory Authority (CITRA) of Kuwait – Type Approval Certificate Validity:

The Regulation prescribes requirements and conditions for telecommunications equipment to get access to the market of Kuwait.

Thus, it is necessary to apply for approval within national technical standards approved by CITRA to show compliance with the requirements for radio and telecom communication equipment.
From December 2021, CITRA can issue type approval certificates for three years. This new revision allows the manufacturers not to apply for type approval annually.
