Canada released a consultation for amendments on Interference-Causing Equipment Standard for Information Technology Equipment (Including Digital Apparatus)The Department of Innovation, Sciences and Economic Development (ISED) released a notice for consultation for the 2nd amendment of ICES-003, Interference-Causing Equipment Standard for Information Technology Equipment (Including Digital Apparatus) – Limits and Methods of Measurement.
This document provides standard requirements ranging from testing to interference limits to labeling. Some changes include re-defining an “ITE device” including storage media as a “peripheral device” referencing the latest version of ANSI C63.4 for radio noise emission and reference requirements for thermostats. Comments shall be accepted until April 5, 2019.
