Malaysia: Updates on a marketing name information declaration

SIRIM wishes to reiterate that the product marketing name is one of the requisite information to be declared in the Type Approval application, as requested by the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC):

All Type Approval applicants shall ensure the product marketing name information is declared upon application submission, is available on the marketed product, and is traceable from one (or more) of the following objective evidence:

1. User Manual
2. Product Specification
3. Product Brochure
4. Product Marking
5. Product Packaging

Notes:

Certificate Holders who had their product certified without marketing name information may request that the information be added to the approved Certificate of Conformity.
In case that a product is marketed under more than one marketing name, the applicant shall submit the Multiple Marketing Name Declaration Form.
