The IEC published new requirements to the IEC 62209-2

Innovation, Science and Economic Development Canada (ISED) is the department of the Government of Canada with a mandate of fostering a growing, competitive, and knowledge-based Canadian economy. ISED specifically supports Canadian innovation efforts, trade and investment, enterprise growth, and customized economic development in Canadian communities.

On March 1, 2020 new requirements of IRC 62209-2 AMD1:2019 standard will become mandatory.

The ISED Canada issued notification to its recognized Certification Bodies , that they may apply the requirements of the IEC 62209-2 AMD1:2019 standard on a voluntary basis immediately.
