South Africa will start a 21 days lockdown from 26th March until 16th April 2020, according to The South Africa President Cyril Rmaphosa announcement on 23rd March 2020. During this period, only essential functions will be still operating. For certification, it will have delays.

South African businesses prepared to shut down operations and supermarkets were inundated by shoppers as the country braced for a three-week lockdown aimed at curbing the spread of the coronavirus.

The number of confirmed infections rose by 153 to 554, with 302 of the cases in Gauteng province, the country’s economic hub, Health Minister Zweli Mkhize told reporters in Pretoria on Tuesday.
