The Information and Communication Technologies Authority (ICTA) has announced that Equipment with an embedded Bluetooth system is no longer a subject of approval in Mauritius.
This is a new provision published in 2017 to replace the 2014 provision on radio-communications.
That Directive 3.12 of 2014 aims to better organize the import and sale of telecommunications equipment on the Mauritian market. Even though, certain provisions have to be complied with for such equipment as stipulated in the regulations.
A list of the relevant equipment is provided to you:
5.9 No type approval from the Authority is required for the import and sale of Bluetooth, with the exception of equipped devices as shown in Table 2 below-
