Thailand’s NBTC has announced a public hearing from March 1 to May 1, 2024, regarding the technical standards for telecommunication equipment using the frequency of 5.725-6.425 GHz. The draft includes changes in power spectral density and acceptance of ETSI EN 303687 V1.1.1 or newer. Currently, NBTC allows the use of 6GHz (e.g., for wifi 6E, wifi 7) under the frequency range 5.925-6.425 GHz, accepting only FCC test reports. The public hearing aims to adapt to the ETSI EN standard. Feedback can be sent directly to NBTC until May 1, 2024, with a public hearing scheduled for March 29, 2024.Read more..
