ACMA, Australia Media & Spectrum regulatory body, has published guidance that specifies requirements for supplying products in Australia and what is the supplier (Manufacturer/ Importer/ Distributors) liabilities when entering the market. ACMA set responsibility on the supplier to ensure product meets the ACMA regulatory requirements for network integrity, interoperability, performance characteristics, health, and safety. Those requirements include also:
1. Identify the applicable labeling notice.
2. Identify the applicable technical standards and the testing requirements such as EMC, EME/SAR, Safety, Telecom, Carriers.
3. Demonstrate product compliance.
4. Complete a Supplier Declaration of Conformity (SDoC) and maintain compliance record- Compliance Folder Management.
5. Register under the National database.
6. Register as a ‘responsible supplier’.
7. Label the product.
