The NBTC Certification issued a notification, B.E 2562, 2019 as the amendment to radio communication equipment exempt from licensing requirements, notification B.E. 2550, 2007 on 24 December 2019.
The amendment mainly specifies the category of the general-use radio equipment (RFID, WLAN, Bluetooth). Regulations of frequency usage for those mentioned devices are illustrated in Article 6 while the authorized frequencies with maximum power ranges can be found in Annex A.
General-use radio equipment must in compliance with technical specifications established by NBTC Certification and the following conditions:
- The equipment should be unalerted with external change such as increase power, etc.
- Users should halt the use of the equipment immediately when the equipment causes significant interference to other frequencies that are authorized at the same place.
- The equipment should avoid affecting any other medical-use radio equipment.
The amendment was into force on 27 December 2019.
