The Communications Regulatory Authority of the State of Qatar issued Version No. 4 of the Class License for Short Range Devices (SRD) dated April 22, 2021. It includes an updated list of SRD applications, applicable frequencies, field strength/output power, test references, and other information to which SRDs must comply.
The new regulation includes the following and also attached the regulation:
- Bluetooth – the max EIRP was increased from 10 mW to 100 mW
- Non-Specific SRDs – the frequency bands 24–24.25 GHz and 57–64 GHz were added
- RFID – the frequency bands 867.6–868 MHz and 400–600 KHz were added
- WAS/RLAN – the max EIRP for the 5725-5875 MHz band was reduced from 100 mW to 25 mW, and the max EIRP for the 5470-5725 MHz band was increased from 100 mW to 1000 mW
