Since Fabuary 25th 2021, new Conformity Assessment Procedure for telecommunications products in the Mexican Official Gazette (DOF) is valid. It was published by The Mexican Regulator- Instituto Federal de Telecomunicaciones (IFT). The new procedure addresses several areas related to Mexican market approval:
Holders of NYCE (CoC) RF Compatibility Certificates must now obtain the corresponding IFT certificate. If not, both approvals will be revoked.
Previously, this was sufficient to obtain the NYCE RF CoC in some cases, such as when manufacturers obtained a CoC for a host and appointed the modular IFT certificate.
Now each importer must obtain their own NYCE RF CoC and IFT Approval and CoCs and test reports can no longer be transferred.
Four certification schemes are showed. According to the requirement of the importer and to advance market surveillance depending on the product category assignee:
1. Single batch
2. Single model and surveillance
3. Family of products and surveillance
4. Telecommunications or broadcasting device and surveillance
