The Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications (MIC) has released the partial amendment to the radio equipment regulations.
This is in order for the Ministry to establish the exposure limit value of incident power density from the radio equipment operating in close proximity to the human body (frequency over 6GHz) in accordance with Draft ICNIRP Guidelines “GUIDELINES FOR LIMITING EXPOSURE TO TIME-VARYING ELECTRIC, MAGNETIC AND ELECTROMAGNETIC FIELDS (100 kHz TO 300 GHz) ” and to establish the method of measuring the incident power density from radio equipment in accordance with IEC TR 63170 Ed. 1.0, “Measurement procedure for the evaluation of power density related to human exposure to radio frequency fields from wireless communication devices operating between 6 GHz and 100 GHz”.
The partial amendment will be effective in April 2019.
